Amanda
Amanda is a Reiki Practioner and yoga teacher.
She has always had a love of nature and the belief that we have the ability to access our own resources to self-heal. It was through living in Central America and then North America that she discovered Reiki, first as a means to self heal and then to help others on their own journey. During this time, she also started to actively participate in women's circles, womb healing ceremonies, crystal and aromatherapy work.
She is a qualified yoga teacher and specialises in Yoga Nidra, Yoga for grief and Yoga for Menopause.
She strongly believes that we, with all life forms are interconnected, that by aligning with nature and the natural cycles around us that we can renew, release and rejuvenate from wherever we may find ourselves presently.
Amanda is married with three children and two dogs.
Reiki
Reiki is an alternative therapy that channels energy through the practitioner's hands to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. The term "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words: "Rei," meaning "universal," and "Ki," meaning "life energy.”
During the Reiki session, the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the recipient's body in a series of positions. This can then facilitate the body's natural healing processes. Reiki is often used to reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance overall well-being. This then allows the body to start healing itself on an emotional. spiritual and physical level. Reiki can be enjoyed by adults and children.
What to Expect
In the first appointment, we will discuss what has brought you to reiki, what you are looking to achieve and anything else that arises.
You will then be invited to lie down, fully clothed for the session. Amanda will then begin the reiki and this can also include gentle guidance to help you relax, the use of essential oils, crystals, energy clearing tools and sounds instruments.
